Director of Political and Campaigns

Scope

We are looking for a bilingual (English-Spanish) Campaign Coordinator ready to coordinate the development, implementation, and monitor all of our campaigns and programs. Coordinators may work under a Campaign Manager or Director to help with day-to-day tasks on specific communications campaigns and executing specific stages of a Campaign Operating plan. Coordinators make sure all team members and departments have what is needed to meet the deadlines and milestones set by the Campaign Operating Pan. In order to do this, coordinators must be familiar with every aspect of the campaign, including all short and long-term goals, the entire project calendar, and budgeting details. Coordinators’ responsibilities may include multiple projects, or move into small campaign management roles. 

The successful candidate must have the skills and experience needed to perform the following activities included but are not limited to:

  • Assist and support the campaign manager(s) to develop, implement, and monitor the Campaign(s) Operating Plan or Communications Plan. 
  • Oversee the Campaign(s) Operating Plan is implemented according to the plan, coordinate meetings and the delivery of the tasks between team members and clients; resolve project problems and handle tasks to keep the project running smoothly. 
  • Produce project management strategic documents, documenting and following up on important decisions and actions required. Responsibilities include work with spreadsheets and reporting.
  • Communicating with people all across the organization to make sure all team members and departments have what is needed to meet the deadlines and milestones set by the campaign.
  • Craft and produce media material and implement specific activities and coordination of events on the field.
  • Develop strong relationships with staff, clients, reporters, media, and providers.
  • Assist with media relations, production, digital, graphic design, events logistics as needed.
  • Demonstrated experience working on projects with social impact or social justice campaigns.
  • Bilingual English – Spanish written and spoken communication is needed.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Although US-based remote, it is preferred in the Washington DC metro area. Some visits to our HQ office in Arlington, VA, or national travel may be required less than 20% of the time. 
  • The salary range for this position is $50,000, non-negotiable. 
  • This is an exempt position according to the FLSA.
