Multimedia Designer / Producer Career

Scope

We are looking for an organized and strategic person with solid Media Relations, Politics and Public Policy experience, ready to lead, develop, implement, coordinate, and monitor our Communications Shop campaigns and programs to support non-profit and public sector clients to have a social impact.

The successful candidate must have the skills and experience needed to perform the following activities included but are not limited to:

  • Work with clients in determining the best strategy, outcomes, and measures of success according to budget to build strong communications campaigns and programs.
  • Lead communications strategy and media relations around public policy and political work. Lead, develop, implement, coordinate, and monitor the overall campaign design, project management work, communications strategy, and implementation activities for programs and campaigns while working in a fast-paced team environment, working with multiple accounts and clients and bringing creativity to projects;
  • Managing projects, staff, timelines, and budgets assigned.  A team player, flexible, and adaptable, combined with a positive attitude, are necessary, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects, provide solutions, meet tight deadlines, and focus on details and follow-ups. Flexibility and willingness to take on routine tasks as needed.
  • Lead effective and efficient cross-functional strategies to deliver clients’ success. Supervisory experience managing and developing teams
  • Strong political and public policy knowledge and the ability to navigate complex social issues. Strong media and public relations and networks are desired. 
  • Develop strong relationships with staff, clients, reporters, media, and providers.
  • Lead strategies for breaking news content (draft, review, approve) and supervise drafts high-level content such as Op-Ed, blogs, talking points, and articles for clients. Media training and preparation of speakers. Strong communication skills, including campaign plan writing and messaging. 
  • The capacity to work in a bilingual English – Spanish and multicultural environment is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Although US-based remote, it is preferred in the Washington DC metro area. Some visits to our HQ office in Arlington, VA, or national travel may be required less than 20% of the time. 
  • The salary for this position is $90,000. 
  • This is an exempt position according to the FLSA.
