A blue urban bus from the "Ride On" company is moving through an intersection in a city area, with route 15 to Silver Spring displayed on its sign. The bus features ads on its sides with the message "Cancel Vaping" as part of an anti-vaping campaign. In the background, tall buildings, trees, and construction signs are visible

With the goal of raising awareness of the dangers of e-cigarettes among young people, Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) and the Communications Shop created the “Student Challenge for Original Public Service Announcement” (PSA) contest.

The call was for Montgomery County Public School students in grades 6-12 and the goal was to involve students in the campaign and identify elements that could help the campaign that CS would later create to reach youth more easily.

Communications Shop designed the #Cancel Vaping campaign in 7 different languages: English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Korean, French, Mandarin, and Amharic. The graphics created were placed on buses in the Montgomery County public transportation system.

We are proud to have been a part of such powerful work on behalf of Montgomery County youth.
