For 17 years, Latino/a Advocacy Day (LAD) has served as a vital platform for Colorado’s Latinx community to engage in policy advocacy, ensuring their voices are heard on critical issues such as housing, environmental justice, reproductive rights, and healthcare. Organized by COLOR, Voces Unidas de las Montañas, and Protegéte, LAD brings together more than 20 community organizations to mobilize Latinx leaders for a three-day event culminating in a lobby day at the Colorado State Capitol.
As the event grew, organizers faced the challenge of coordinating logistics, managing large-scale participation, and ensuring impactful engagement with state lawmakers. To enhance efficiency and expand the event’s reach, LAD partnered with Communications Shop to provide strategic event management, branding, and legislative coordination for the 17th annual LAD in March 2023.
