Citizenship Campaign

One Million By 2020

In 2019, Communications Shop spearheaded the strategy behind the citizenship campaign “One Million by 2020” and the development of its animated Latino character, Don Ramón “El Tuercas” (Mr. Screws).  This character became the spokesperson of the campaign for our client National Partnership for New Americans (NPNA). The campaign aimed to mobilize and activate over one million eligible U.S. residents to apply for citizenship before the 2020 elections.  

 

Through Communications Shop coordination, the Don Ramón PSA was featured by Telemundo New England and 20+ TV stations and digital platforms through our media partnership with Entravision Communications.
