University Town Center Prince George’s Community College (PGCC) aimed to strengthen its connection with the diverse Latino and African communities in its area. Many students faced language barriers, unfamiliarity with academic resources, and uncertainty about immigration-related policies. The challenge was to develop a welcoming, informative, and inclusive communication strategy that truly resonated with these communities.
To bridge this gap, PGCC partnered with Communications Shop to create a campaign that ensured all students—regardless of background—felt supported in their academic journey.
In the first phase, Communications Shop developed a video call-style campaign featuring PGCC students and staff. These videos highlighted firsthand experiences, reinforcing the college’s commitment to inclusivity.
