The COVID-19 pandemic disproportionately impacted the Latino community, leading to urgent health crises and heightened misinformation. Alianza Americas recognized the need for a robust initiative to inform, educate, and connect Latino communities to vital health resources. The challenge was to effectively communicate the importance of these resources and showcase the grassroots efforts of community organizations working on the front lines.
In response to this challenge, the Somos Salud initiative was launched, focusing on engaging communities and promoting health education through community-led efforts. Communications Shop partnered with Alianza Americas to produce impactful video content that highlighted the initiative’s achievements and the critical role of Promotores de Bienestar (Wellness Promoters) in disseminating vital information.
