After the enactment of inhumane immigration policies like Remain in Mexico and Title 42, the Families Belong Together campaign led a nationwide movement to permanently end these policies, end family separations and detentions, advocate for family reunifications, and build an immigration system that is humane, safe, and orderly.
In March 2022, Communications Shop partnered with the Families Belong Together campaign to provide strategic assessment and messaging guidance on storytelling, audience outreach, and digital channels.
Our goal was to pursue long-term positive narrative change around immigrants and immigrant families through ongoing public education campaigns. Our partnership resulted in the production of messaging guides, monthly content calendars, infographics, and videos that elevated impacted people and centered the humanity of families being reunited. We sought to create greater awareness and educate communities on the human impact of cruel immigration policies, like family separations, and push for immigration reform.
