Ahead of the 2022 midterm election, Communications Shop partnered with the National LGBTQ+ Task Force to develop a communications strategy around their “Queer The Vote” campaign designed to engage voters and become the primary information source for first-time voters, the LGBTQ+ community, and the general public. Communications Shop designed and launched a web page with resources for the public, empowering them to participate in the 2020 elections. Communications Shop spearheaded not only the content and messaging, but also the dynamic design, which was instrumental in engaging the public.
Communications Shop also supported the National LGBTQ+ Task Force with media coaching to uplift their work around civic participation and inclusion, voting rights, and the political power the LGBTQ+ community has. Our media strategies have been ongoing and beyond the electoral cycle, reflective of the field and advocacy work the organization continually does, including issues like civil and reproductive rights, diversity and inclusion, and justice for the LGBTQ+ community.
