Communications Shop offers a wide range of services and support for partners, including translation and content adaptation of materials and resources. Since 2018, our work has helped reach new audiences in critical moments.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we worked with Latino Health Initiative: Por Nuestra Salud y Bienestar to create a campaign targeted to Latinos in Montgomery County, Maryland. Beyond translation, our 360 campaign understood the cultural barriers and motivations to increase vaccination rates.

Communications Shop has partnered with the Montgomery County Working Parent Assistance (WPA) Program to deliver a campaign designed to increase awareness about a county-sponsored program that helps residents pay for child care. The materials (brochures, posters, ads, and radio PSAs) were delivered in five languages: English, Spanish, Amharic, Vietnamese, and French.

With Montgomery County, we successfully led the branding and messaging development for the Bienvenidos Initiative–a multi-stakeholder partnership to help newly arrived immigrants and asylum-seeking children. Our work to deliver content, specifically a video, in the newly arrived immigrants’ languages was recognized with a Vega Award for public service and activism.

In addition, Communications Shop has also filled in the direct and indirect translation needs for nonprofit, labor, and corporate partners, including Health Literacy MediaJPA HealthMaryland Physicians CareBedsiderMASA groupLungevity FoundationAnnie E.
